New album out now
Sigmund Groven and Knut Buen released a new album on September 25th. Collaborator and Hardanger fiddle master Knut Buen is a long time friend of Sigmund. The project is called The Sound of Telemark and presents folk music from and inspired by the traditional region. The recording of the album took place at the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum in Rjukan, Telemark, a UNESCO Industrial Heritage Site. - March 10th, Oslo: The sound of Telemark, a concert with Knut Buen, Sigmund Groven and Anne Gravir Klykken. Music from the album of the same name. The location is Kulturkirken Jakob, Oslo at 7.30 pm.
- March 24th, Skien: The sound of Telemark, a concert with Knut Buen, Sigmund Groven and Anne Gravir Klykken. Music from the album of the same name. The location is Ibsenhuset.
- April 9th, Oslo: A special concert at 6 pm at NRK Store Studio, with Sigmund as the soloist. KORK celebrates 75 years, Meloditimen as well – and Sigmund Groven! Tickets available at www.nrk.no/kork
- May 12th, Kristiansand: Sigmund is a soloist with Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra at Kilden Teater & Konserthus.
- June 24th – 27th, Selbu: Harmonica seminar at the Norwegian Harmonica Forum.
- November 3rd – 7th, Germany: World Harmonica Festival 2021 in Trossingen.

The Sound of Telemark will be presented on Radio Proglas in Czech Republic on Tuesday 22nd Deceber at 7:45 am.

Teaching
As of August 2018, Sigmund is a harmonica teacher at the Norwegian Academy of Music. The academy is the highest level of music education in Norway.
